Thanks for the reply and for all that you do.

It seems like Umbrel might not be ready for Knots and Datum. I installed Bitcoin Knots and ibd without issue. (Only 48 hours to sync.)

Electrs, lightning, and mempool all ask specifically for Bitcoin core instead of recognizing Knots on Umbrel. Tried to ssh and install. No luck.

Start 9 has no problems recognizing Knots and allowing that to be the only Bitcoin it needs to function correctly. Start 9 is my new go to for Bitcoin related nodes and Umbrel is for media, photos and files.

On Umbrel you need to run Knots in parallel to use datum sadly. You can prune it at least though.

The other bitcoin related services need core for now until an upcoming release of umbrel.

Not sure about the DATUM, we will see once it will be ready for

But Knots can run on Umbrel with other applications. However, you must use the version from the community appstore:

https://github.com/Retropex/Bitcoin-store

Other applications dependent on Bitcoin Core must then be installed via the SSH terminal:

umbreld client apps.install.mutate --appId electrs

umbreld client apps.install.mutate --appId mempool

umbreld client apps.install.mutate --appId core-lightning

umbreld client apps.install.mutate --appId public-pool

...

I wrote an article about it, but unfortunately it is in Czech. Fortunately, translations into English are no longer a problem,,, šŸ˜Ž

By the way, nostr:npub1aghreq2dpz3h3799hrawev5gf5zc2kt4ch9ykhp9utt0jd3gdu2qtlmhct, do you plan to solve this dependency somehow?

You cover everything in this article. Thank you for sending that. Umbrel should hire you. This is the level of support that Start 9 has. Great job BTW.

I should wait, but I’m being impatient. Going to Start 9.

Which client do you use to receive zaps? I tried to send you one on iris, but it gave me an error.
