Of course not, but reputation is.

And trying to pass others’ ideas as your own is a sure fire way of nuking your reputation if you don’t succeed

Well, if it’s not property then it doesn’t pertence to anyone. If someone give you it’s yours now. It’s impossible to stop thinking about what you listen and found nice. Aka. Zuckeberg reputation seems to be fine!
