You guys are taking an easy but very unkind stance. The entirety of #Nostr is like a weekend passion project for <10 people. When non-custodial ships it will still be "the beginning". Obviously everyone wants noncustodial now but have some compassion for God's sake.

Or, ya know, I'm standing against an echo chamber and pointing out a shortcoming that needs to be seen and avoided.

The same issue existed with KYC exchanges, where people were happy to jump on them and said they would use future DEXs and then got too comfy on KYC exchanges and never migrated.

I don't want that to happen again with custodial LN/Zaps current momentum.

You're the one taking the easy route lol

It's called having standards and principles and properly educating. A lot of bad practices are being normalized and encouraged. I have no problem calling it out.

"Calling it out" implies the current course of things isn't sufficient. My stance is that it is. Let's push for and test noncustodial options as they come online. No reason to berate the devs.

Yeah custodial is not sufficient at all. And this towards users more than devs.

Agreed there.

Dude, no one is mentioning any dev negatively, not sure why that isn't coming across to you.

Just move on, clearly not on the same wave-length here.

They seem to be suffering from a case of woke 😕 hope their saviorlust is cured soon and they can rejoin the actual dialogue!

People really are hyper-sensitive nowadays and take things as personal attacks.

As a new user watching from the outside, I saw nothing you said as berating the devs. There is nothing wrong with or negative about emphasizing the importance non-custodial arrangements as these things grow.
