First thing I'd love to learn here is why a public NIP-29 group isn't more appropriate for this use case 😉.

I'm a NIP 29 disrespectoor. It has some good ideas (forking is cool, notes vs replies), but I don't love the moderation approach, and I think it's important to be able to send any nostr event to a group. NIP 72 sucks, but it does have audio events, calendar events, classified listings, etc.
