WordPress bloggers can now integrate posting to Nostr, and soon, Nostr comments.
The Nostrtium plugin adds a metabox to the WordPress Post editing page, pre-populated with the post excerpt and a link to the post. This allows users to post the content of the metabox to their configured relays.
The WP NoStress Comments plugin, aptly named, will allow users to integrate Nostr comments by signing in with their NSEC via NIP-07. Additionally, new users can generate a new NSEC. This plugin is still under development and does not yet fully work, but it is worth keeping an eye on as it matures.
I have a WP landing page setup as we build out a nostr client and relay for libertarians.
This plugin might allow me the flexibility of keeping the WP site up at the primary domain, to promote the community being built around the client and relay as well as sell merch and generally be the project home page.
Heck… in the near future, WP may be able to act as a stand alone web (pwa) client for online communities.
