I had a neighbor (in his 70's) in Connecticut many years ago.
He sat on his front porch "every morning" in his bathrobe, smoked cigarettes, drinking a bourbon "every morning", and waved at his neighbors as they drove off to work for the day. They all hated him doing it.
Yes, in the winter time as well.
We became friends. He was a retired Bechtel guy.
