The biggest cons is mostly on the crawler. It could censor an PDS or similiar.

Just build your own crawler. Nostr will deal with the same problem if it ever grows.

The problem was the crawler is heavy to make.

And it's even heavier than average fediverse servers or even nostr relay.

Especially for the one who want to self host alone.

You could build a lighter crawler, or as we call it in nostr, a multiplexer.
