Well, the language of mathematics can be considered a language.

Yeah. Not what I meant though. I just meant all things equal, would someone be “smarter” if they spoke English vs some other language.

Probably impossible to quantify since there are so many variables.

This is a good point you bring up. I would say being bilingual or trilingual helps the development of the brain in a much wider range; specially if thought in childhood…

If anything, it’s an advantage to know and speak a second language
