About 50% occupancy I think for tonight, but it is a school night! 🤷🏼‍♂️

idk, the 90's felt more alive?

Basketball seems to maintain capacity, i'm talking at league levels. So does NFL too. I heard Cricket is actually taking over (due to immigrants)

Are people watching from home? I know with rugby, here in South Africa, many people watch from home so that they can braai (even though you kinda can do it at the stadium) - maybe it's a comfort thing? (access to live streaming, cheaper sport subscriptions etc.)

The 90s were definitely raw! I think baseball may have peaked in some ways during that home run race between McGwire and Sosa in 1998. Then the steriod fallout sullied many peoples view of the game.

Streaming and all of the options available are definitely keeping many people at he watching from the comfort of their couch.

I also have to think inflation is keeping people away - it's a fortune for all the goodies once you are in the ballpark. So can't really go too often for the average person.

I hadn't been to a game in years despite living 10 minutes up the street.

I have to say though it was really fun to experience my son's first baseball game with him and my wife. Seeing his enjoyment and wonder brought the magic I felt as a kid back to life.

That's pretty cool man, glad you got to enjoy that! How much are hotdogs these days? Like $20?

Yes, or near it! I had to take out a loan for the hot dogs!
