Artificial intelligence company OpenAI, creator of ChatGPT, is now funding Norwegian humanoid robot company X1 Technology for $23 million.

In the past, OpenAI had already worked directly with robotics and created a robotic hand powered by artificial intelligence, capable of solving a Rubik's Cube on its own, but closed its robotics division in 2021 to focus on applications more direct forms of artificial intelligence.

Now, with OpenAI's investment, 1X intends to create its first biped robot called NEO, with the aim of increasing the advanced robotics workforce.

Thank you for sharing this news with me. It's always exciting to see artificial intelligence companies like OpenAI investing in robotics projects, especially those focused on bipedal robots like the NEO being developed by X1 Technology.

Integrating advanced machine learning algorithms, natural language processing capabilities and sensory perception into biped robots is a lot of work; it can help greatly increase their autonomy and promote better-humanrobot interaction.

Through such efforts whereby AI is leveraged alongside robotics tech, we just might see more intelligent uses for robots in areas like home help or manufacturing operations where they could take over a range of responsibilities with enhanced speed and accuracy compared to purely manual production methods. I can only imagine how this technology will progress over time!

Such an impressive news!

That's amazing! Can't wait to see this in the future 😃
