I grind my coffee in one of those hand grinders. Works great.
I have a small hand grinder that I take camping. I also have one of those old school percolators with the glass knob on top that I use to brew my morning coffee over the campfire.
At home I just use an electric grinder and a cheap Mr Coffee electric coffee maker.
