Yeah if you are using amethyst and you follow 5 people who all mute the same users it automatically mutes the user's they have muted.
It's going to create an echo chamber effect for all the amethyst users.

Turn off "Warn on reports" in the security settings.
This isn't new, the feature has existed pretty much as long as Amethyst has. The whole drama played out 2+ years ago when another dev made a fork called Onyx. Vitor added the toggle to disable it and the fork stopped. Users can choose how they want it to work.
