Once a blind woman was coming from a well at night with a pitcher of water in her hand and a lighted lantern in her hand. A man met her on the way and said, "How stupid, you are blind so why carry a lantern?" The blind woman said, "It is so you will not knock me down." Our sadhana (spiritual practice) is our lantern that lights our way and keeps us on the path even if we're blind.
