Ever been to the park by the Chesterfield amphitheater?

yes! i love that park!! me & my mom walk there together often. I saw Phoebe Bridgers at the amphitheater a few years ago, it was magical.
I was gonna go see JJ Grey and Mofro there a few years ago but a family death occurred that same weekend and I wasn't feelin it.
Great venue and that art install nearby is too cool.
I dislike the factory (i refuse to support staenberg/kroenke), but adore the amphitheater. I got to sneak into Phoebe’s mic check by going through the park behind the stage 😂, security just let me watch bc they didn’t have it secured and I was a local who knew where to go.

I'm pretty sure I've caught one or two Aaron Kamm shows that way down at the Broadway Oyster Bar. 😅
Also, I totally just walked backstage at 2720 Cherokee when Wookiefoot was headlining a 2 day event. To be fair, I was bearing a gift so that couldn't hurt.
As you say, there are benefits to knowing the ins and outs of these cozier, mom n pop sized venues.
I love that 😭 it’s so easy to get away with that stuff in STL, it’s great. I just wish they would revive the orpheum theatre in downtown and turn it into a music venue
Years ago I did a walk through of the old abandoned Sun Theater down by the Fox. This would have been the perfect place for a high school Halloween party growing up. It was abandoned and creepy.
There was evidence that someone had been squatting there in the dressing room offstage.
Hilariously, there was also evidence that this squatter had been contending with a local crackhead: a cut off broomstick hanging by a lanyard from a nail on the wall with the words "crackhead-be-gone-stick" written on the wall nearby.
That’s insane 😭 this is why our historical buildings burn down sadly. It’s such an issue. The orpheum theatre is now owned by a church that lets it rot, and don’t have to pay taxes on it. I see people squatting in there often as a friend lives across the road from it

I think Unit of a Count contacted you, maybe a year and a half ago or so about an ice skating event we had planned. I had an itch to go skating so a few of us local NOSTR Bitcoiners hit up a rink for a public skate session. It was a good time.

Most random concert i’ve been to was Pheobe Bridgers in Chesterfield.
Chesterfield is where I grew up, it’s a quiet suburban town, I don’t think the amphitheater ever got anyone as big as her ever.
