I've never done either honestly. After cleaning it, I put it on the stove with the burner on high to dry it out and I wipe it down with some avocado oil and let it cool on the stove. I always try to scrape any stuck on bits with the metal spatula while the skillet is still hot and wipe it out. It took a long time using this one for the eggs to not require some scrubbing with hot water...like 2-3 years of using this skillet a few times a week to get here 😂.
