Burmese days is a book, it seems. Haven't read. Was thinking about the hanging short story though, that was a good one. I really like the Freedom of Press eaasy (see linked note), though I'd read it prior to listening to the collection.
I enjoyed his reviews/take-downs of famous authors quite a bit. Talk about a good reviewer! 😮💨
Can't think of any single essays now, probably need to reread them all (audio) sometime soon. I was constantly impressed by his insight and writing skill though.
As far as music, it's all over the place, but last set of stuff I've been digging was Luigi Tozzi, Claudio PRC, Rrose, ERP, VC-118A, Pontiac StreatorLeafar Legov, Tim Man...based on quick skim of recent-ish plays
