Lol, they do hurt more, no doubt about it. I've seen a few guys getting around on electric road bikes for hills that are a bit beyond them, they love it. I'm actually thinking of getting a gravel bike soon.

i bought a gravel bike just before covid. OPEN UP is the brand. It’s great can swap wheel sets out so good for road and gravel.
I have 4 bikes , I need to get rid of some, I think the gravel is all thats needed for me nowadays. Covers all I need. To do and all I need is one extra wheel set.
PS, I dont own a car(justification for 4 bikes)😂😂

I'm familiar with open, they're great looking bikes, yours is no exception. Great looking rig. You don't need to justify 4 bikes to me! I would have at least 4 if I could. I'm leaning toward a giant TCX (basically my TCR but with space for 45mm tyres). It'll be my second bike but really looking forward to some off road exploring.
Yer. The tyre I have on this rim is 47mm. It’s awesome
I’m done with traffic. So bloody dangerous. Another one of our blokes hit here a few days ago. He was solo woke up in hospital no idea what happened
Are you familiar with the Katy trail in Missouri. This is where this bike lives and when I go there I ride it. I’m headed back in two weeks. Cant wait
I've had a few close calls myself. Haven't heard of the Katy trail, I'll look it up. I'd be excited too going back to that bike, enjoy!
