If you watch close you can see "ONO" and "ONO SENDAI" in this video.

In William Gibson's "Neuromancer" series, ONO and SENDAI are two Japanese companies that work together to create the "ONO-SENDAI" series of cyberspace brain interfaces.

Gibson was a consultant for the production of the movie. He wrote the story too.

Wow, it was just a guess. I never seen the movie, although read Burning Chrome about two decades ago.
