Any recommended guidelines online to migrate to Linux from Microsoft Windows? So tired of Windows

I have a Microsoft Laptop, Can I use it to boot on Linux? If not, What are the best laptops for Linux? What is the best Linux OS to start with?

Good decision. Windows itself became a virus. I don’t know what you mean by “Microsoft Laptop”, but I found that Linux works pretty good on Acer Laptops which are also very affordable. Just start with Ubuntu, Pop!_OS or Linux Mint and see if you like it. Basically all you have to do is get a USB-stick, flash a Linux Distro of your choice on it, plug the stick into your laptop, reboot and follow the instructions. Just visit one of the aforementioned distro websites. You’ll always find the instructions on there. And maybe this podcast episode could be worth listening to:

Thank you

Pleasure.

Theres a 99% chance you can use the laptop you already have. Linux mint is very user friendly. Download Rufus and make a bootable USB drive. There are plenty of tutorials online. Good luck!

Thanks

And you can "dual boot" (I.e. leave window on there and run Linux along side it and choose which on to boot when you turn it in) its recommended to start with windows installed when you do that anyway

I use mint. I like it. Easy to use
