This is a genuine conundrum for me. When we do comparative suffering. Clearly palestinians and others in the middle east are suffereng and dying by the thousands , its unbelievable suffering. But one man who people kindof knew who he was but gets suddenly killed, it grabs everyones' attention. I think become desensitized by the mass killings because of the numbers. Still we dont want to encourage killing or violence. This is a weird thing we humans do when we are not in a dangerous environment already. Why do you say that Charlie was a genocidal science denialist? In what way??

He supported Israel's genocide in Gaza, but he may have been breaking out of that and turning against Israel at the time he was killed, according to some people on nostr

He was a denialist about climate change and I think also the COVID pandemic, both things with life or death impact

I see. Some people would see him as "dangerous" and wanted him out

Israel isn't always shy to take out citizens of other nations either and they are good at it. What I find sad is how im seeing all these people cheer for his death... I dont rhink he deserved that, no matter his political opinions, bc those can change.

It's too late for a lot of people to change their political opinions, Nazism has gone too far. But I agree we shouldn't celebrate his death
