It was clearly never going to work to have two egomaniacs co-running an organization. I suspect Trump wanted to play them against each other. This is Vivek’s way out to save face.

Yea true that. I didn’t see them working out either. DOGE in general won’t accomplish anything either unless they can influence Congress to pass their recommendations which won’t happen because politicians don’t like being told what to do by an outside agency. Ego and all that.
