We live Semi-offgrid. We actually have access to the main power grid and use that sometimes. A lott of the time it is the solar panels that do most of the work with larger ones powering batteries to store electric and smaller independent units scattered around the garden. We also have a petrol generator for back up. Don't chastise yourself about it , it's necessary to diversify your energy needs. Have an awesome day ๐Ÿงก

That's great to hear you are also living that experience of connectedness with the energy sources and cycles ๐Ÿ’ช To me it brings a much clearer, real vision about all the talk and action about sustainability. Thanks for saying that ๐Ÿ™ No, I'm not chastising myself about it (anymore). Exactly, there's a variety of energy sources at our disposal and it's about the experience of nature connection, freedom and making the best possible informed choices ๐Ÿ˜‰
