Funny how people speculate how bad it would be in a #Libertarian society, while in their current statist world where pedo's are being selected for the top functions of power / in society, protected and allowed to bomb women and children with 50% of the voting cattle's energy (money, taxation + inflation).

Firstly, in a free society pedo's would be very rare, because they wouldn't be able to operate in an organised manner with YOUR money, while being basically imune to legal action.

Secondly, involuntary abuse would be as punishable as any other crime, and self-defence (which can be outsourced) is fully allowed. In the case that it's voluntary, competing private courts would reach an age through arbitrage where the responsibility goes to the parents. They can overrule the child and it will be recognised as involunatary by society and punished as involuntary abuse through action of their parents (or other adults).

So yes, it would probably be much, much, much better than now.
