Its importance is not debated. Paul wrote extensively that it is not a requirement of salvation in Christ.

Faith comes first. When you're ready to commit, this is WHEN you get circumcised. Not if, when.

This is actually a requirement straight from the Scriptures themselves (this one was NOT done away with as far as I'm aware). Not to mention that Paul was a deceiver, as the Bible in the NT days was nothing more than a popularity contest of sorts.

Faith in what? If you throw out the writings of Paul you are throwing away half of the New Testament. Either the Scripture passed down by the church is God’s word or it isn’t. Who are you to pick and choose what is Scripture? Speaking of deceivers, you, my friend are deceived.
