cant sleep.

reading Issac Newton’s “Chronology of Kingdoms” from 1728, where he basically says huge portions of recorded history are propaganda from empires trying to appear older and more important than they were. Then lays out what he was able to determine after years of research.

fascinating.

"The ancient historians have been so far from giving us a true account of the antiquities of the world, that they have not so much as preserved the memory of the most remarkable actions of their own ancestors, but have either omitted them, or mixed them with fables, and have given us instead of them, a multitude of fabulous stories, which they have invented to please the people."

AI will do the same… rewrite history and leave us with happy stories full of #propaganda

this thread is even more dubious than some of Newtons dates.

This is really fascinating and scary at the same time. The only backwards time period, we somehow can rely on through own experiences and information from family, is about 200 years. Every information about history beyond this period is likely to be false and manipulated.

So sad but also highly motivating to start digging and uncovering the true history of mankind.
