PWAs suck. No one wants them. We use them as a crutch.

the promise of PWAs is amazing until you realize there are only two browsers.
Well, true.
PWAs can also be updated in the background without the user's consent.
Normal apps can too, no big difference there.
Besides Google Play Services, I can't recall an app automatically doing this.
