I think we'd see it fall apart under those conditions. The model only works going back to 2020 presumably because there were higher non-USD amounts during those times.

Not sure it would, as the most "polluting" data is the BTC denominated one. Buying/selling patterns and distributions probably don't differ much no matter the fiat currency.
