What devices can I just buy and hookup like I did with my meshtastic stuff? Bonus points if I can pay bitcoin.

Also, how do I just use it? Like I downloaded sideband and then I didn't know what to do. I basically zap anything tagged reticulum that I see but I still have 0 fucking clue about it. More content about it on nostr please!

I'll get my site up with the store this weekend ASAP; no more excuses

That's the beauty with Reticulum; literally any hardware will work with it, over any communications protocol. Its much bigger than just a LoRa device on a ESP.

Can easily use a LilyGo LoRa32 V2.1 board (same as what you can use with meshtastic), just flash reticulum firmware on there.

Here's also a simple build guide for an RNodefrom awhile ago👇

Reticulum boards work best, if thinking the same setup as meshtastic, if you use any board that has;

- ESP32 chip

- SX1262 chip for transceiver

So, boards like the LilyGo T-Echo Meshtastic LoRa SX1262, 915MHz devices work well

- their T-Decks & T-beams would suffice too

So I could just flash different firmware on an existing device? Then what? Do I need multiple nodes for coms or what's do i do

Multiple nodes does help; not sure if there is an open channel in your community like a open public meshtastic channel has

Imo reticulum has much more potential, but (for right now) meshtastic has a easier on-boarding process

We'll get a smoother reticulum setup, way faster/better than meshtastic, prob in less than 6-12 months

know if heltecv3 works?

Double checked yesterday, as where I looked, it does not. That was an older post though I'll reconfirm later today
