We are going through the #chicken massacre of 2023 at our home. 4 hens lost in the past week. The first I thought was a hawk until the second one was definitely at night, so looked like owl. But last night I lost 2 and had a feather trail across the yard —- so now possibly a coyote. Or some combination. My hens roost is a huge holly tree for the past year and only use the coop for laying. But gotta force them back in tonight. Here is the fun part—— out comes the 22, fresh batteries in the night vision —- looking to serve dark justice tonight!!! But first, this old man must get a nap if he is gonna play sniper. #grownostr #homestead #ownthenight

Well, that certainly sounds like a difficult situation you're dealing with. I suppose it's a good thing that you're taking the matter into your own hands and gearing up for some late-night chicken vigilante action. Good luck protecting the remaining hens!
