What good is a Store of Value, if you don't intend on using that value?
Discussion
We’re in the monetization phase. The more valuable bitcoin, the more value it stores, the easier it becomes to spend it. Right now we still have 150x ahead of us at the very least… so it’s hard to spend until your earnings don’t make up a significant portion of your stack. If you earn 150k a year you’d want bitcoin to be at something like 10x of current value to feel comfortable spending it freely unless you absolutely had to.
I certainly get that. You're not wrong, and I can't argue the point.
And we are entering the phase where it becomes a MOE, which is fantastic.
You can always buy, spend, and replace. Most are stacking, and still using fiat as their payment rails. I want to encourage ppl to start getting used to using it as it is. Which is money. That's my only point.
Yeah it’s tricky. All depends on personal circumstances and goals I suppose.
Absolutely, no question. I think it will be slowly, slowly, then all of the sudden. Ppl still have confidence in Western currencies, and that is the biggest impediment in my view.
We don’t really need to win over the currencies imo. There are so many assets that could simply shift to bitcoin and we’d already be at 10x today’s value approximation.
Currency battle will likely happen after other assets have been absorbed. Real estate is an easy one.
True. Fair point. As Odell says, Just keep grinding.
Gresham's law says the majority of your customers will be those on a bitcoin standard.
True. Which is why I want everyone on a Bitcoin Standard. 😁
Well you're in good hands. It's a race to the bottom, and they are getting exceedingly good at it.
I know. Nostr is definitely where you want to be for this revolution. 🫡🫂
