My favorite card game. My grandfather taught it to me when I was a small boy. So many fond memories of him.

Cribbage is a fantastic game.
Played a lot of crib when I was younger. Helped me learn how to handle defeat because I often got skunked when I first started.
It's not the most popular card game around here. The uniquely Irish and infamously confusing game of '25' takes precedence there, but occasionally I'll find a wanderer passing through who will take me on in a game of cribbage.
Interesting. I’ve never seen that game. Strikes me as closer to Hearts in terms of gameplay than Crib on reading that but I guess with the 5s it’s close to Crib too.
Yeah it's most similar to Hearts, you're spot on. I get the feeling that Irish brought 25 over to the states and it morphed into Hearts somwhere along the way.
I miss my grandfather too , God rest him.
He always loved a cigar and a brandy in the evening.
I can still smell the cigar all these years later.
