Whenever someone says;

“the government must create jobs!”

I throw the book at them:

(100 sats to the first person to name the title)

It sounds like Ayne Rand's Atlas Shrugged.

Good guess but no..

I still need to read that!

Ok, I cheated. I see you've recently quoted "Economics in one lesson"... which I haven't read yet ;-)

Well at least you didn’t google it! 😆

I can't believe no one got this! I had moved on. This is from Haslitt's Economics In One Lesson. But I'm not sure which version you have. My version must be pre-inflation because it has a $1M example instead of $10M. 😳

Oh interesting!!

I’ve got the kindle version, it’s a later edition from 1978

Snagged my version from the Ludwig von Mises Institute’s web site. Copyright shows as the 1946 version with a 2008 introduction added by Walter Block. A lot happened in 2008 and it makes sense that I was asking myself questions about this topic around that time.
