So, some cool info on the Pixel 8 from Spectrum Mobile. If you visit the Google Store repair page online and input the imei, it actually shows as the Google Fi variant of the device. I fully expected it to identify a Verizon variant since Spectrum Mobile is an MVNO and uses Verizons network. This means that once you network unlock the device, it should also enable OEM/bootloader unlocking. Now I just wish there was a way to convince Spectrum to unlock early for me, without needing to pay the entire device off first. I would love to debloat and run GrapheneOS or even just a deGoogled AOSP build as well as install an esim for my work line.
