#asknostr do you think a “hyperbitcoinized” world will in any way, on average, improve the lives of bitcoin laggards and luddites? nostr:note1g9twg3nprc3xy95zrvf0gsahgqhjcdn2qyvz5f929fpwsz6cpl9qjrnx9l

Yes, they just won't know it. They'll be eating the fruits of labor of the early adopters

I concur

Personally, I think when you remove the ability to print money, everything changes.

And we have no way of knowing exactly what that will look like.

I believe it will be much better for everyone.

Because even though they might not be getting richer, like those with a significant amount of bitcoin… they won’t be getting poorer.

Right. And all the “stuff” would/will be better

Better quality.

Better food.

Better infrastructure.

Better incentives.

Much better life.

I agree, and this is well put.

They’ll be better off absolutely.

But they won’t be seeking freedom, nor be more free men.

My point is, The freedom we feel now holding bitcoin at the protocol layer, and YOU all know how big that makes us feel. That is luxury very few will feel going forward.

Yes. Early adopters will be richer, but everyone’s life will be better. Idk how someone can say a world where prices don’t increase 10% every year wouldn’t help people.

Credit - as we know in the modern world - it goes away. That improves life for the Common Man.

The laggards and luddites will lag and lud their way into extinction.

Maybe not right away.

It will take time for people to understand economic signals and allocate resources properly again after the credit binge we’ve been on. Tqkes time to build the skill after your eyes stop glazing over.
