Backup keys as far as I know are just methods of backing up your private key. Some hot wallets for the devices even use QR codes, so you can transfer more easily from one to the other.

If you hold/have the back-up keys,does it mean you own/hold/have bitcoin?

Yes. It means you control the movement out of that wallet.

Keys in general you keep secured and private. Except for Nostr pub key 😃
