I guess that explains my lack of simps. I don't leave npubs hanging around, looking pathetic. I respond to everyone.
Simps are created by failed attempts to engage.

I was thinking about this. 😂
Q: Why do I have so many haters and some stalkers, but no simps?
A: Because I engage. I don't leave anyone looking like an idiot, hanging around, getting no response.
I "work the room", to make sure everyone has at least one discussion partner and feels welcome to stay, so long as they behave. But if they misbehave or get too icky or clingy, they get the boot.
That takes a lot of time and energy. Probably have the habit because I'm a moderator and hostess at work.
Interesting, I think, how the habit transfers.
