You're wearing some very heavy ideological blinkers to not comprehend that all biological life runs on solar (which is fusion) energy and so of course can all of humanity and its industry.
The ideologically blinkered are those who want to step down power consumption to lower forms (ie solar and wind) knowing there is direct correlation between prosperity and QoL and energy consumption.
There is no higher source of power than fusion, boofhead.

The tree is a very very long way away from the "fusion reactor" and receiving sweet fuck all of that "fusion reactors" energy, if it was on fire & releasing that energy even if it did so in a microsecond, it would come nowhere near the energy output of our largest piss weak imitation.
And the tree is a hell of alot better at capturing & storing that energy than piss weak solar panels.
