Big move in terms of curation! Coracle is fast becoming my favorite client again.
Will I be able to “save” these curations as a feed in the future? Saved custom feeds is really something I’m waiting for 🤞.
Coracle now has an "Explore" tab. This one is unique — it doesn't rely on a centralized server for processing recommendations, zap count, like count, or DVMs (sorry nostr:nprofile1qqs04xzt6ldm9qhs0ctw0t58kf4z57umjzmjg6jywu0seadwtqqc75spzpmhxue69uhkummnw3ezuamfdejsz9rhwden5te0wfjkccte9ejxzmt4wvhxjmcpp4mhxue69uhkummn9ekx7mqp93tlf ). Instead, it pulls NIP 32 labels from your follows to show you topically-organized content from your network.
Anyone can create or contribute to curations by labeling content using the note overflow menu — but no one is forced to look at them if they don't follow you. What this creates is basically dynamic, crowd-sourced lists based on your social graph.
This release is just the first pass at the idea. And yep, I know. I’m at the same point in the design of some other projects.
Just an “Add this filter as a Feed”-button was the naive first step 😉. When I find a more complete UX around this I’ll let you know.
