The average house in Ireland in the year 1970 cost about £7K and the monthly repayments for that amount were roughly £40.
Using a spending power calculator that means today that house would have cost roughly £90k and the repayments would be £550 PM.
There's many reasons contributing to the fact that the average price for a house in Ireland is €300k and the repayments on that house would be €1400 PM but I think the biggest contributing factor (this would be global and not just Ireland) is the global population in 1970 was about 3.7Bn and today it's over 8BN.
Rarity drives price up as we all know , simple supply and demand so land will always be increasing in price as more and more people populate this little blue planet.
Using the same logic #Bitcoin also has a max circulating supply of 21M and it's population is growing year on year.
I for one will be trying to acquire as much land / property and BTC as I possibly can over the next couple of years as I believe these are the only things that will survive any and all testings of the global economy and are the real store of value on this planet.
