Question regarding your containerized self-hosted services:

For those services using a database, or a data storage external to the service, did you use an instance for every service (1 DB for every service), or an instance for every service (1 DB, many services)?

I know that the efficient way is to use 1 DB for all services, but I want to know some real cases out there 😉.

There's no one-size-fits-all there. It depends on what you're doing. My personal preference is a mix of dedicated/shared VPS in Hetzner's Cloud, running 1-to-many with the DB on the dedicated one. If you run on a single host or just shared VPSes, I'd do 1-to-1 probably.
