It was never supposed to be a complete story neatly finished. It's simply a well done story meant to create a feeling. The best TV I ever watched

i don’t think that the last two seasons was supposed to be made. But it got very successful and why not milk the cow while it’s still producing.

Yeah it was supposed to be 3 seasons, abc stretched it

And the first three was really good.
