I bought a second fridge recently and the “high energy efficiency” tag said “estimated yearly energy cost based on 16¢ per kWh” and I just laughed.

$0.38 to $0.53 depending on demand, usage, and time of day. California. Solar and hydro baby! Otherwise $1500/month for power.
