I can't think of anyone I would want more than someone who grew up fixing cars with a screwdriver, hammer, and a wrench because they HAD to if they wanted that car to run.
The skill extends to keeping most things running but cars are the best example. People are resourceful when pushed!

Met an old Cuban chap here in Costa Rica helping with a regenerative agriculture project. Mind blowing knowledge about self sufficiency. 35% production increase over fertilizer based agriculture. Really cool what people learn when circumstances force a different kind of thinking pattern
