Try 3 months with zero sugar. Then try something sweet. See how you find it. Itβs interesting. I have been extremely low sugar in my diet for maybe 15 or 20 years now. I find the taste sickly with many things now

If you do want to try to reduce sugar intake, do it slowly. I found it useful to first remove it from my meals. Only allow it in the afternoon, as it's own thing. Also, it's easier if you replace it with something, so that you don't sit there craving it. The best replacement I found was a cheese made from real milk, perhaps an aged cheddar. And when the sugar craving would hit, feel free to eat as much of the cheese as you wanted, until the craving subsided.
One but if knowledge that helps, the craving cycle seems to go in a 2 week swing.
Be strong, and avoid any sweetener in any drink.
