for the smart experts out there... is it possible with #digitalid to lock you up from the internet?

if the answer is yes, what if the government can selectively allow you to access certain internet services or even decide to cut you off? will #bitcoin be affected if certain countries will cut people off from internet ? in my opinion yes.... it will crash.

Do you mean the price will crash or the hash rate? And define crash? We are used to regular crashes in bitcoin in the near term. Nothing new there.

You grossly underestimate #bitcoin. Think of bitcoin like water. Unless every single govt in the world is willing to act in unison and against their own self interest to dam Bitcoin (noting global coordination has never before been achieved by govts) then Bitcoin simply flows around, over, under any digitalID impediment by shifting to the pathway of least resistance.

for crash i mean price and cult since governments will make it useless to hold if they find a way to cut us off the internet programmatically if they dont like people using #bitcoin

Your arguments are too simplistic, naive and are ignoring the facts on the ground. Global political coordination is fucking hard and probably impossible short of alien discovery or other such existential threat. Geopolitical divisions have almost never been greater. You don't think we haven't thought of and planned for the internet shut off attack vector?

Christianity is a cult. Football is a cult. There are many belief systems. A rational mind looks beyond the cult at the heart of the thing and tests for truth and knowledge. Bitcoin is merely a consensus system. However it's also the most truthful record of account humanity has ever conceived of. That matters a great deal to our civilisation and value will flow as understanding grows.

No they did NOT achieve global coordination during Covid. That is precisely why they are now trying desperately to drive overarching executive powers into the WHO.

They couldn't even agree on the scientific approach to production of vaccines. They couldn't enforce a uniform treatment protocol. They couldn't agree on when to close borders. They can't even coordinate on an investigation to determine where Covid originated from.
