They collect referral awards (which normally Google, Facebook and the likes do) and they proceed a large percentage of those rewards to the plebs (instead of keeping everything). They keep a small portion to develop ofcourse.

So, yes they do collect data about the purchase but that’s just to make sure they can collect the referral rewards from the shop.
