I had a follow up with my doctor for labs today. Everything looked great, according to her, except....my LDL cholesterol. She asked about my diet and I was honest and told her that I ate meat, eggs, butter, salt and water and nothing else. She advised me to reduce my consumption of red meat and try to eat more fish. I told her there was no way I was going to reduce my consumption of the most nutritious food in the entire world. I also told her I do not believe elevated LDL in isolation is an indication of an increased risk for heart disease. In hindsight, I should have looked up some of the studies I know exist and I've heard other people talk about to have ready, but I didn't do that before the appointment. #grownostr #carnivore

I need to bust out my copy of Dr. Berry's common sense labs book and make sure the lab reference ranges that they say are good are actually good.
