This is a total mess!

I was just thinking on a concept taken from 2FA sort of thing. When we use Authy or any other authenticator, the ongoing 30 seconds codes are created from an initial key (usually the platform QR code connected to our account).

Can this be a solution for what we are looking for? The idea is the first use of our key in a Nostr platform, can create timed ongoing keys, that we could use to login/access.

What I don't know, is how to implement something similar into the platform.

Just a "daft" idea.

"...for the vast majority of people..."

What about identities that represent authority figures, organisations, services...?

How about individuals that would post events on behalf of a foundation of which they are (temporary) members?

I get that the protocol should be as lean and user-centric as possible. However, lack of convincing solutions to advanced identity management could prevent participation of important players (when the audience will get sufficiently large to attract attention).
