They are focusing on the UX first and foremost to give mainstream users a soft landing as they migrate off Twitter. The initial onboarding for nostr and all other fully decentralized protocols is simply not practical for the average internet user. This is a fair tradeoff in my opinion.
i look forward to a year or two when you are using atp to publish your acknowledgement of how mistaken you were here :p
