Brazil is second in the Electronics Hub ranking of countries whose population spends the most time in front of screens, with around 56% of the day spent on cyber activities (9 hours), behind only South Africa (58%) .

Social networks, search engines and work tools are mainly responsible for the time invested online. This new pattern of behavior leads users into a vicious cycle that intensifies illnesses and reduces productivity.

However, it is possible to balance the effects of the digital era on mental and professional health by establishing limits and a conscious use routine.

IDK about South Africa but I can share my two cents about Brazil.

Every time a Brazilian steps outsided their home, This person is putting the life in risk, robbery, kidnapping, assassinate and more.

So that is not surprising that people prefer to expand their timing indoors using internet and being more secure than doing something else outside.

Not to mention the options of doing something outside are very limited and expensive too.
